Family time

I have always loved the holidays for the main reason of its the one time everyone gets together and are all in the same spirit of things! We had a great Thanksgiving with my side of the family this year and of coarse the food was AWESOME! Then we all sat around laughing and talking for hours just enjoying each others company. We have family christmas parties on both sides every year that I always look forward to and still get truly excited about!! I didnt get to go and do any crazy black friday shopping this year I wasnt feeling good at all, so I went yesterday morning and finished the girls christmas! It feels great to be done with that much! Now if I could only figure out what to get for Douglas, he is always less than helpful when it come to christmas shopping for him! Drives me crazy sometimes :) so I guess I will get him the usual gifts I get him... Movies, and shirts... Exciting I know lol!

Most wonderful time!!

The song doesn't lie my friends it really is the most wonderful time of the year! Everything about the months of November and December just make me happy and make me smile so much! This has always bee my favorite time if year, it makes me think of family and getting together at family christmas parties and all the laughs that are sure to be had. Lets not forget to mention all the wonderful food that will be cooked and ate! I love the holiday spirit more than anything and the sense of joy in the air! I love being able to teach Paityn about serving and giving to those less fortunate and seeing the genuine smile on her face! I love hearing her talk with anticipation about how excited she is for Santa to come and what she wants to ask him to bring her. I am so thankful for the little life I lead, I dont do great things or make tons of money.. I am no one of importance in society's eyes, but in the eyes of my girls I am important and I can accomplish anything! I have an amazing husband who has taught me that material things aren't important in life as much as I thought they were. I dont need to be the best dressed women, I need to be the best mom and wife that my husband and girls deserve to have! And thats what I am striving to be this holiday season!

What a weekend..

So I know it's Wednesday and the weekend has been over for a while now but lets just say my life has been insane!!! That is putting it mildly actually. Friday I woke up with the most horrible cramps and kept thinking to myself this just is not normal I have just had surgery that was suppose to make this all better! Apparently it didnt work all that well, to top friday off I also got the stomach flu and was completely miserable! There was not a spot on me that did not hurt! Needless to say I slept a lot friday and Saturday. Fast forward to saturday morning @ about 2 30 I am woken up by Paityn crying in the doorway saying she has thrown up all over her bed, I jump up go get her cleaned up and bed changed thinking oh great I got her sick way to go mom! Anyways Sunday rolls around and Paityn is just fine she had just had a little to much to eat the night before! So we start getting ready for church my brother and his wife were blessing their daring lite girl that morning, so I'm getting the girls ready and decide to give Douglas a call because I had not heard from him yet and that was odd. So I call him and he answers and is being kinda weird and tells me that while getting one wreck cleaned up another car came along and hit the tow truck. Needless to say he was busy, so I go and take the girls to church and come home to change for the dinner and call him again to see if he can come and eat, again he was very vague and said that he was at the hospital getting some information about a wreck and that he will come when he can... Ok so we go to the dinner and I just sit down to eat and he comes walking in and by the look on his face i could tell something was wrong but didnt think much about it because I just figured it had to deal with the wrecks. Well he comes up to me and says come out in the foyer for a min i need to talk to you, so I walk out with him and he immediately hugs and kisses me with teats in his eyes. At that point I knew something was wrong! He proceeds to tell me that a uhaul pulling a trailer with a car hit some ice and lost control and had hit the tow truck flipping the car they were loading and when this happened the car also hit him and sent him flying about 20 ft!!!! He had been at the hospital for himself geting checked out and wouldnt tell me!!!! Needless to say i broke down and lost it, that is one of my biggest fears with his job!!! Thankfully Heavenly father was looking out for him and all he got was some super sore and bruised muscles!!!! Fun weekend huh!
